When we manufacture mechanical components, we have to shape things, but the theories on materials science are deeply involved here.
At Yanagimoto Laboratory, we have been conducting research on Semisolid forming, which belongs to the middle between casting and deformation processing, and internal microstructure changes during high-temperature forming. Currently, we are mainly conducting research on the microstructure changes during high-temperature deformation processing, mainly by decoding the material genome and adopting incremental analysis methods of microstructural changes led by dislocation density.
